What the work is for

Your recordings help train speech recognition systems. You read scripts written to cover the language you record in.

The work

  • Read each prompt exactly as written.
  • Keep your pace, your distance to the device and your setup the same through a session.
  • Re-record the takes that fail the automatic audio check.

What to expect

  • Before you record, the platform takes you through a microphone test and an intake step.
  • Scripts and recording guidelines vary by project.

What you bring

  • Your own device to record on.
  • A quiet room to record in.

You need

  • Clear reading aloud in the language you record in.
  • Consent to be recorded, signed for each project in an agreement that sets how the recordings may be used.
  • 18 years or older.

Good to know

  • Not every device or room passes the audio check.
  • Applying does not guarantee a project. You are invited when one needs your language and accent.
