Practice with AI

Try it yourself before choosing a paid plan.

A course explains the ideas. A small project shows you how they work in practice. Try speech AI, video, transcription or writing tools on their free plans and trials. The exercises are separate from your YPAI application, and you do not have to send us your results.

Local simulation runs on your device, without an AI model.Rule-based demo uses fixed rules, without an AI model.Real AI runs only in the tools you continue to.

Hear your own text

The task

Write two short instructions for a fictional customer-support task. Play them, then tap each word that is hard to understand.

Runs in your browser. Your device's voice, not ElevenLabs. What you type stays here; YPAI only counts that the exercise was started and finished.

How the tool works

In ElevenLabs you write the text and choose a voice. The voice settings are named Stability and Similarity, and they control how consistent the output sounds. ElevenLabs says the output is nondeterministic, so two runs can differ.

What to investigate

  • Pronunciation
  • Pacing
  • Clarity

Correct a transcript

The task

A speech tool misheard this sentence. Listen, correct the text and watch the word error rate fall.

Fixed example. The score is calculated in your browser. What you type stays here; YPAI only counts that the exercise was started and finished.

Turn a script into scenes

The task

Write a short script. Each sentence becomes a scene. Change the pace and the shots, then play it through.

Rule-based. No video is generated. What you type stays here; YPAI only counts that the exercise was started and finished.

Check an AI draft

The task

Write a brief to get a prompt. Then paste a draft. The rules point at numbers and claims without a source. Whether they are true is for you to check.

Rule-based. It finds patterns, it does not understand the text. What you type stays here; YPAI only counts that the exercise was started and finished.

How the tool works

Writesonic lists "AI articles and site audits to fix visibility gaps" and a way to "Track AI visibility and act on it". The draft it writes is still yours to verify.

What to investigate

  • Claims without a source
  • Vague sentences
  • Whether it follows the brief

Decide what a workflow checks

The task

Eight sample clips pass through a workflow. Switch steps on and off and run it. See what reaches the customer when nobody looks.

Sample data and fixed rules. No AI model runs here. What you type stays here; YPAI only counts that the exercise was started and finished.

How the tool works

A workflow runs fixed steps in a fixed order, and each step passes on what it receives. Rules catch what you can describe in advance. Someone still has to decide where a person looks at the result.

What to investigate

  • What each rule catches
  • What only a person catches
  • What slips through when a step is off

Try this: Import a short clip you filmed. Cut it to 15 seconds, add captions and check that each caption lines up with the speech.

    Translation memory

    Free tool

A free translation memory application for Windows, macOS and Linux. It remembers what you have translated and can connect to machine translation services.

Try this: Translate two short paragraphs that share a sentence. See what the memory offers you the second time, and decide whether it still fits.

    Data labeling and AI evaluation

    Open source, Community Edition

An open source platform for data labeling and AI evaluation, with a paid Enterprise version alongside it. The Community Edition is the one you can download.

Try this: Make a small project from ten short texts you wrote yourself. Label each one, label them again a day later and count where you disagree with yourself.

    Free trials: explore a workflow

    Text-to-video and visual storytelling

    Free trial available

Turn a short script, article or presentation into a video. Pictory currently advertises 300 credits with its free trial and no credit card requirement. This is a trial, not a permanent free plan.

Try this: Write a five-line script about a practical AI use case. Convert it to a video, then identify one scene where the image does not support the script and revise it.

    AI-assisted content and search visibility

    Free trial available

Explore AI-supported content workflows and how organizations measure their visibility in AI search. Trial access and available features depend on the current plan.

Try this: Draft a short explainer about a subject you know, verify any factual claims against reliable sources and improve one paragraph for clarity.

    Transcription and analysis

    7-day free trial

Transcribe and analyze interviews, meetings and recordings. Speak AI lists 100+ languages. Start with no credit card.

Try this: Upload a 30-second recording of your own voice, transcribe it, correct three errors and compare the transcript with the recording.

Why we recommend it: YPAI's transcription roles include correcting machine drafts where the project works that way. Here you try that on your own recording.

    Why AI skills matter now

AI literacy is becoming an everyday work skill.

AI literacy topped LinkedIn's 2025 Skills on the Rise list in the United States. LinkedIn reports that the share of job posts asking for AI literacy has grown by about 65% in each of the past two years.

Sources: LinkedIn, Skills on the Rise 2025 LinkedIn, October 2026

Demand for AI skills is growing.

PwC's 2026 Global AI Jobs Barometer found that jobs requiring specific AI skills grew almost eight times as fast as the overall jobs market, with an average advertised pay premium of 62%.

    Your expertise counts.

PwC found twice the job growth in roles where AI increases the importance of human judgment and expertise, such as radiology, compared with roles where AI makes the work easier for non-specialists to perform.

    Questions about YPAI Learn

    Why do you suggest courses?

AI is changing how almost every job is done, and AI skills are now the fastest-growing skills in the world. While you wait for a project, we suggest courses that make your profile stronger for the roles you applied to. Many come from universities and leading technology companies.

The courses are optional and never part of your application. We may earn a commission from some links.

Do I need to take a course to apply for YPAI projects?

No. Apply with or without a course or certificate. YPAI Learn is separate from your application.

    Are all the courses free?

No. Every track starts with free options. Some courses are completely free, some offer free introductory access, and others charge for full access or a certificate. Each listing explains the type of access offered.

What does “Free to start” mean?

It means you can begin learning without paying. The provider may charge for additional lessons, extended access or a certificate. Look at the listing and the provider's details to see what is included.

    Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, from some courses. Some give a certificate when you finish. Some lead to a professional certification with an exam. Some are for practice and give no certificate. IELTS gives you a test result, not a course certificate.

    Who provides the courses?

The named university, training company or learning platform provides the course. You enroll, study and manage any subscription directly with that provider.

Can I try AI tools without paying?

Yes. Some tools have a free plan with usage limits. Others have a short free trial. Each listing says which one it is. A free plan stays free; a trial ends, and it may not include everything the paid plan has.

Are the practical exercises part of my application?

No. They are optional ways to practice on your own. You do not have to complete an exercise, share its results or pay for an AI tool to apply to YPAI.

Does an OpenAI Academy badge or Anthropic certificate qualify me for a YPAI project?

No course or badge guarantees selection for a project. Academy badges and course-completion certificates recognize learning; they do not automatically establish professional certification or satisfy a project's specific requirements.

Can I try an audiobook without paying for a full subscription?

Audible has free trials for eligible new members in participating countries. Some offers require a payment method and renew automatically as paid subscriptions. Check the offer in your country. Whether you keep an audiobook after canceling depends on the membership plan and how you obtained the title.

Can I use Learn and Paid tasks at the same time?

Yes. Learn and Paid tasks are separate parts of the portal. You can use both while you wait for a YPAI project.
